I paint the sense of place rather than the details, drawing inspiration from the fields, rivers, lakes, and rocks of the Canadian prairies. Using gathered stones and clay, I create natural earth pigments that I often add to my paintings, blending little bits of the landscape right into the work itself. My art is a quiet act of gratitude for the land and places that ground us.
